Taking in my arms the broken souls of sorrowing, To mirrors, white, this sunlit image chorusing, Dancing wind my swaying starlight capturing, On sky-bright, column, laughter solace meriting, So honor, so whole-heartedly.Theme

The Field of Bell-FlowersA warm breeze dances gently through the air, swooping down on a field of blue flowers that nod their heads lazily in reply. The wind, however, touches only a few of these beautiful gems, for the field is vast and magnificent, stretching on for miles and miles to the very edge of the horizon. The flowers themselves are fashioned like bells or ladies’ skirts and they droop shyly in the warm air. Each dark, slender stem has two, lush green leaves which reach upward like spears. The Field of Bell-Flowers
Not a single sound echoes over the meadow, nor has one been heard for a century or more. This vast field with its enchanting prettiness harbors no lif
| Who am I? I like to divide myself into eight different people, many of which (happening naturally, accidentally, and on purpose) are represented by characters from my books. I suppose it's natural, seeing as I created them. But anyway...here's a detailed list: First of all there is my kind self. Unfortunately, this one doesn't show up very often, but when she does, everyone is relieved. She is loving, thoughtful, forgiving, sees beauty in everything, and has a lot of empathy. Her name is Lily. Second and favorite is my artistic self. (I know, I should probably like my kind self better, but I don't). She is thoughtful too, and also sees beauty in everything but she is dark and untameable inside. She cannot stand crowds or being physically confined in any way. She loves music, poetry, drawing, dancing, running, and writing. She is extremely shy, tends to think that she doesn't need anyone but herself, is always at least a little lonely, and tends to mentally abuse herself a lot. Her name is Nemo - at least, that's what she calls herself. She hasn't found her real name yet; it's a quest she's been on for several years now because she lost her true name and can't remember it. Third is my dreamer self. She is quiet - extrememly introverted, though not usually shy so much. She loves the outdoors and is never quite happy unless she's hiking. There are many disadvantages to having this person as a part of me; she is wanderlust on steroids, and unfulfulled wanderlust can be hellish. She always wants to do impossible things, like fly or travel to another world. Her name is Saara or Sarah. She also loves playing the flute, by the way. Fourth is Andromeda, or Andromeda Ravenheart. She is actually very close to Nemo: she hates to be disturbed and must be left alone, she also finds beauty in everything. She isn't actually all that artistic except in the area of singing and poetry, though she is extremely romantic. She us untrusting, lonely, bitter, and laconic. She doesn't like people to know about her, which is too bad because I'm writing this anyway. Fifth is my fantasy self. She is noble, brave, and fierce. She gets very passionate about injustices, falls in love with ultimate selflessness, and strives to be honest, kind, and chivalric in general. She loves adventure stories and has a magnetic attraction to all things previously unexplored. She finds it frustrating that she can't do something as heroic as save someone's life. She is quite serious, sword-loving, determined, and sincere. Her name is Katerina. Sixth is my silly self. My silly self...hmmm....Well, she's pretty absent-minded and easily excited as well as giggly (unfortunately). She loves talking and doing slightly childish things (like swinging on swings and coloring in coloring books). She loves smiling and always, always speaks her mind even though she has little tact (also unfortunately). But she tends to make people happy (maybe they're just glad not to be stuck with those seven other serious and often pensive people I usually am). This girl usually makes her appearances after not getting enough sleep or watching too much anime (unless it's something like Death Note, of course). Her name is Sahra. Oh, yes, she also loves food, especially sweet food. Sahra can be pretty funny once she gets going. ...I wonder if it's all right to keep saying all these complimentary things about myself... Anyway, seventh is my explorer self. This self loves to think. She has many ideals and theories, all of which she stresses with the utmost sincerity. She finds nearly everything to be interesting. She always has to know the reason for everything: she hates formulas when they don't explain WHY. She loves science and geometry (except for proofs: they don't explain why, they just say it is the way it is because this certain rule has been established). She loves reading because she can travel to different places, that's also why Myst is her favorite computer game series. Her name is Christabel. Eigth, worst, and last, is my nasty self. Along with many other things she is bad-tempered, crabby, proud, and...well nasty, I guess. Yeah. We won't talk about her. So that's it. Hope you weren't bored to death. |
